Apparel Lesotho Alliance to Fight AIDS (ALAFA)

ALAFA works exclusively with the textile and apparel industry in Lesotho. Both the HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment programs promoted by ALAFA are aimed at the apparel workforce, which is estimated to number approximately 48,000 workers. The majority of employees in this industry are women, and the prevalence of HIV among the apparel workforce is around 43%."
